This occurs when your Windows username has a special character (@#$%) in the name like Abc#123. If you're doing an application update from the CONNECTION Client it fails if your Windows username has a space in the name (John Smith). Steps to Resolve Open command prompt and type mkdir C:\temp\ Set TEMP=C:\temp\ Set TMP=C:\temp\ Then run the CONNECTION Client executable from the command prompt. Either you can't click in the CONNECTION Client at all, or you enter the email and password and hit sign in and nothing happens Solution 1. Go to the Internet Explorer Internet Options either from the settings menu > Internet Options or Control Panel > Internet Options 2. Click on the Security Tab > Trusted Sites > Sites button 3. Add this website to zone https://*.bentley.com > click the Add button 4. If "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone is not checked just enter *.bentley.com 5. Hi Andrew, Thanks for the log. It's filled with errors. I noticed one error in particular "The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request." It seems that the CONNECTION Client may be starting before you're connected to your network so it's not able to sign in and get the security token to run. Once you're connected to your network and click the sign in button it works. To test, turn off the automatic start up and start it manually once you're computer is up and you have internet connection. Does it sign you in then?

Following error message appears: This account is not associated with an organization. Please contact your administrator. Explanation It means that your Account Administrator needs to approve your access to the Organization. As of know the system doesn't know you are part of the Organization. How to Avoid You will need to contact your site administrator to have to add you to the account. This is done through the User Management tool. Background We are now requiring users to sign in with a Bentley user account to access their products and online services. As such, users must install the CONNECTION Client and sign in. To aid in compliance with this requirement, we offer a CONNECTED User report that shows machines and whether they are signing in with a Bentley user account. The following steps show how to access and use the report. Steps to Accomplish You must have the account admin or co-administrator role on your Bentley user account to perform the steps below: Open the Enterprise Portal . Click the link titled "How Connected Are Your Users?" as shown. The CONNECTED Users tab will show how many users are CONNECTED out of all users in your organization. Click the country link to access a detailed list. Machines with a red X must install the CONNECTION Client and sign in.

It just sits in the corner, disconnected and does nothing. I have to force close the app, and restart it until it finally connects. I have tried to attach another log file, but I keep getting an error message on this forum not allowing me to.

Hi Andrew, Thank you for the logs. It appears you're being blocked by a proxy server or firewall on your end. Please contact your IT department and give them the domains listed in the following wiki, or you can enter your proxy server address, user name and password in the License Managment Tool. Hello, Installing the CONNECTION Client wouldn't remove other Bentley software so I'm not sure what happened to the PowerDraft installation. If you searched Software Downloads for the version you had and it's not there please file a service request to ask for that version.
